Healthy communications that achieve sector-wide impact
House of Kitch’s origins are in the Health and Wellbeing sector. It’s where we cut our teeth on evidence-based behaviour change communications to achieve sector-wide change. In fact, before founding House of Kitch, Samara Kitchener worked within the NSW Ministry of Health leading preventive health campaigns for HIV, blood-borne viruses, overweight and obesity, and tobacco and was an advisor to the World Health Organisation. Our Chief Storyteller, Victoria Mackinlay, was a sales manager for medical instruments at Stryker UK. Through our extensive experience, we’ve seen the positive impacts on individuals and society as a whole and have received multiple awards across the health communications space.
House of Kitch has worked across all areas of health, wellbeing, biotechnology and health-tech using creativity, science and ‘out-of-the box’ thinking to deliver communication strategies, integrated campaigns and employee value propositions.
Some of our work includes:
-
Creating campaigns for NSW Health in overweight and obesity, HIV, blood borne viruses, tobacco control, immunisation and preventive health. See our HIV Testing pop-up case study below.
-
Driving a large clinician, board and patient stakeholder consultation program to develop a 10-year strategic plan for the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.
-
Developing a purpose and positioning approach for the Australian Cardiovascular Alliance (ACvA) to bring the cardiovascular research sector together to prioritise and align research efforts to deepen the impact of cardiovascular research.
-
Delivering a vision and engagement plan to reposition the Bathurst Health Service.
-
"Partnerships for Healthy NSW” project for NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet which involved developing framework options to enable government to develop external partnerships with private and non-government sector to deepen and extend the reach and impact of current government initiatives on overweight and obesity.
-
Developing programs and content to support patients through fertility and IVF journeys.
